Prince William County officials are glad the state legislature has begun debate on how to fix area roads, but they are also wary of the local burden that could come with increased road funding.
"It sounds like they're trying to pass the buck again from the state to the county, so that the county residents have to tax themselves to fix a problem that the state was supposed to take care of," said Chairman of the Board of County Supervisors Corey A. Stewart, R-at large, in a phone interview on Saturday.
